In the Hallmark Channel movie Christmas Connection, flight attendant Sydney (Brooke Burns) makes sure unaccompanied minor Leah (Sophie Neudorf) gets home to her family in Chicago. When Sydney delivers Leah to her handsome widower (and investigative writer) father Jonathan, sparks fly. Jonathan invites Sydney to spend the holidays with them. He warns Sydney, “We don’t do Christmas half-way in this family.”

Jonathan is portrayed by Tom Everett Scott. He’s known for his roles on tru’s I’m Sorry (Mike), Scream: The TV Series (Kevin Duval), Reign (Lord William), Beauty and the Beast (Sam Landon), Southland (Det. Russell Clarke), Law & Order (Governor Donald Shalvoy), and ER (Abby’s brother Eric Wyczenski), among others. Scott is also recognized for his roles in the films Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (Frank Heffley), An American Werewolf in Paris (Andy), and Tom Hanks’ 1996 directorial debut That Thing You Do! (Guy Patterson, see link above). Christmas Connection premieres on Hallmark Channel on Sunday, December 17 at 8pm.
