In the Love & Hip Hop episode “Bodied,” James R. gets caught in a love triangle. MariahLynn thinks they’re still together while he’s trying to get with music video vixen Sophia Body. While filming James R’s “Bah Gurl” video, James is feeling the chemistry…until MariahLynn comes barging onto the set. After James R. greets her with a kiss on the cheek, Sophia Body says to James R. “I thought you said you weren’t with her no more.” Those are fighting words to MariahLynn. She throws a punch but according to Sophia, she misses (see slo mo video below).
Before Sophia Body became famous (she has more than 675,000 followers on Instagram) and associated with rappers including French Montana, Safaree and emerging artist Jaquae, she was just a kid getting through the Canadian foster care system. According to VH1, “Sophia was born to an addict mother and a father who was incarcerated.” Sophia Body is now pursuing a career as a DJ (more video below). Love & Hip Hop airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
