During Week 7 of Dancing with the Stars (the Halloween episode), violinist Lindsey Stirling was the only celebrity to perform to her own music. She and her pro dance partner Mark Ballas performed a Paso Doble to her boot stomping song “Roundtable Rival.” On Week 9 of DWTS, Lindsey and Mark (one of the five couples left in the semi-finals) will perform a contemporary dance to Mark’s song “Head High.” Well, it’s not just Mark’s song.
“Head High” is performed by Alexander Jean, the duo comprised of Mark Ballas and his wife of almost one year, singer/songwriter BC Jean (she was born Brittany Jean Carlson). BC has music chops. The twentysomething star wrote the Beyonce song “If I Were a Boy,” among others. Check out Mark and BC performing “Hold Your Head High” live in the video below. P.S. Alexander Jean is opening for Lindsey Stirling’s Warmer in the Winter tour! Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
