Paris Jackson, the 19-year-old daughter of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, has made her acting debut. Paris has been playing the social media guru Rachel Wells on the Lee Daniels show Star starring Queen Latifah. It’s a recurring character. Jackson returns to the show for the November 29 episode “Ghetto Symphony.”
Jackson can be seen next on the big screen in the forthcoming film Gringo starring David Oyelowo (Martin Luther King, Jr, in Selma) and two-time Oscar Award winner Charlize Theron (Monster, North Country). Gringo is about an American businessman (Oyelowo) who’s about to make a fortune when a pharmaceutical company goes public — but first there’s an incident in Mexico he has to get himself out of. Joel Edgerton (his brother Nash Edgerton directs), Amanda Seyfried and Thandie Newton also star. Gringo will be released in March 2018 via Amazon Studios. Star airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX.
