Former teen star singing sensation Debbie Gibson competed on Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars. She was the second to be eliminated (after Shark Tank‘s Barbara Corcoran) but Gibson still had a blast. Now Gibson is returning for the season finale and she’s singing with finalist (and fellow Broadway star) Jordan Fisher from Hamilton.
[Debbie Gibson’s first recording of ‘Sleigh Ride’ is on A Very Special Christmas 2]
Gibson and Fisher will sing a medley of Christmas songs — “Sleigh Ride” and “What Christmas Means to Me.” Gibson’s history with the song “Sleigh Ride” goes back to 1992. She recorded the song for the album A Very Special Christmas 2 which raised money for Special Olympics. It featured holiday songs covered by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (“Christmas All Over Again”), Randy Travis (“Jingle Bell Rock”), a Frank Sinatra and Cyndi Lauper duet (“Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”), Run D.M.C. (“Christmas Is”), and Sinead O’Connor (“I Believe In You”), among others. The Season 25 finale of DWTS airs Tuesday, November 21 (9pm, ABC).
