In the TV movie Babynapped, a young woman named Ashley is found dead after her car flips over. When her sobbing husband Brian (David Gallagher) appears at the scene of the crime, he asks the detective on the case “Where’s my baby?” Ashley was driving with their one-week-old baby — but the detective says she didn’t see a baby.
Detective Bauer is portrayed by Alexandra Paul. The former model and Stanford student is known for her TV roles on Melrose Place (Terry O’Brien) and Baywatch (Lt. Stephanie Holden), and in the films Christine (Leigh Cabot), Dragnet (Connie Swail), and 8 Million Ways to Die (Sunny), among others. Babynapped premieres on Lifetime on Friday, October 13 at 8pm.
