On The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Siggy Flicker invites the ladies to Boca Raton, Florida to celebrate Melissa Gorga’s birthday. Siggy used to live there — it’s where she “had my babies.” But of course drama erupts and Siggy and Melissa have a heated argument over Melissa’s behavior which Siggy describes as “trash.” The ladies of Jersey object fiercely to the word. (Another word not to use around a woman from New Jersey? “Stupid,” says Melissa.) Anyway, before the episode airs on October 11, Siggy wrote a 1200-word essay on Facebook defending her behavior and various conversations in Boca.

When Siggy mentioned how she was struggling to balance work and her marriage (to Michael), she was surprised “to be needled until the topic morphed into Michael is controlling.” Siggy points out that new wife Margaret hadn’t even met him yet, and yet said “When I looked up man in the dictionary, I didn’t see the picture of Michael Campanella there.” Siggy wasn’t quick enough to reply on camera but did write on Facebook: “get an unabridged version [of the dictionary] because Michael Campanella can be found under ‘perfect man’ thank you very much.” The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
