Ann Crady Weiss and her husband Dave Weiss are the entrepreneurs behind Hatch Baby, a smart changing pad that keeps daily data of what a baby weighs, how much it sleeps, eats and poops (approximately). The Weiss’ pitched Hatch Baby on Shark Tank in January 2016 and made a deal with guest Shark Chris Sacca — $250,000 in exchange for 3.3 percent equity.
Sales for Hatch Baby continue to flourish and the product line expands to include a night light/sound machine (see link above) and more. Meanwhile, Ann Crady Weiss has joined True Ventures, a venture capital firm in Silicon Valley which has invested in Fitbit, Blue Bottle Coffee, and Hatch Baby in the very beginning. After the Shark Tank episode aired, Weiss became True Ventures’ first female partner. The Georgetown Law grad keeps her job as CEO of Hatch Baby, too.
