Beard King, a bib worn while shaving to avoid leaving hair in the sink, was pitched on Shark Tank in 2016. The pitch was memorable as the product is like nothing the sharks had seen before on the show, and the founders who were selling Beard King are a sexy husband and wife team. They went into Tank looking for $100,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity. After many laughs, Lori Greiner offered $100k but for 51 percent, and the duo team accepted.

Since the Shark Tank episode aired, the deal fell through. According to Forbes, “the agreement broke down in negotiations.” But the couple probably didn’t regret going on the show. By the end of 2016, Beard King was on track to make over a million dollars in sales. Keep in mind, when they went into the Tank, they reported $80,000 in sales.
