In the Hallmark Channel movie “At Home in Mitford”, Andie MacDowell plays children’s book author Cynthia Coppersmith who has writer’s block. To help break the block, she visits a small town (Mitford) and falls in love with the town and an Episcopal priest named Tim who lives next door. (Note: Episcopal priests can get married!)
[The TV movie is based on bestselling writer Jan Karon’s novel]
Tim is portrayed by Cameron Mathison. The Canadian-born actor is known for his roles as Mike Kingston in the Hallmark TV movie series Murder, She Baked and as Ryan Lavery on the soap opera All My Children, among others. Since 2007, Mathison has been a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight. Fun fact: Mathison competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2005, the year IndyCar driver Helio Castroneves won. At Home in Mitford premieres on Hallmark Channel on Sunday, August 20 at 10pm. It will air again on September 8 at 2pm.
