David Arquette, the 45-year-old actor from the Arquette acting family, is known for his roles in the Scream movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Benny), and for being the ex-husband of Friends actress Courteney Cox. After getting sober in 2011, Arquette remarried in 2015 (Christina McLarty), and has recently been making some music. Arquette announced that he and “flat” Jared Gutstadt and Dan DeMole, creators of the Jingle Punks, will perform on the July 20 episode of The Gong Show. Jingle Punks is an agency of musicians, composers, and songwriters who create music for TV shows and movies. The act involves a ventriloquist dummy.
This is an ideal time to point out that Arquette has recently joined the cast of the super-natural thriller Hollow Body with Luke Wilson. Hollow Body is about a struggling rock band led by Arquette who makes a bad record deal after their lead singer is struck by lightning, killed and comes back to life. And you thought The Gong Show was weird! The Gong Show airs Thursdays at 10pm on ABC.
