Triple threat Kevin Spacey is hosting the 71st annual Tony Awards event televised from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. This year’s Broadway hit is “Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812” which has been nominated for 12 Tony Awards. A number of familiar faces will appear on stage including Sally Field (Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie”), Lin-Manual Miranda (“Hamilton”), and “Waitress” singer/composer/star Sara Bareilles. (Bareilles took over for star Jessie Mueller in March.)

Bareilles’ role as pie maker Jenna in “Waitress” is coming to an end the same day as the Tonys. As she wrote on Twitter, just hours before attending the Tonys, “Can’t wait to cry in public about it.” The 71st Tony Awards will air on Sunday, June 11 beginning at 8pm on CBS.
Happy @TheTonyAwards day!!! To the wonderful performers and creators–thank you for your dedication. Can’t wait to cry in public about it.❤️
