American Ninja Warrior Season 9 will welcome back a number of obstacle racers, as usual. But there will be a number of rookies too, including construction worker and single mom Anna Christensen of Washington State and hairstylist Benjamin Humphrys from California. Anna and Benjamin will both compete at the ANW Los Angeles Qualifiers (June 12).
Benjamin is a 23-year-old hairstylist at The Cut Salon in Santa Monica where you can get a woman’s haircut for $75. The third-generation hairstylist also competed nationally as a pole vaulter at Culver City High School, which should come in handy on American Ninja Warrior. He lives with his girlfriend Caitlyn in Palms, where he trains with his mentor Westley Silvestri. American Ninja Warrior airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC.
