Niki Rasor is the wife of firefighter Matt Rasor. Together in February 2017 they pitched Niki’s Firefighter Turnout Bags (F.F.T.B.) a line of bags she makes out of real, authentic firefighter turnout coats. Prices vary from $65 (wallet) to $315 (duffel). When Rasor pitched her business on Shark Tank, there was a debate regarding the material – whether or not to continue to use real turnout coats, which makes the product unique but also makes it more expensive. Daymond John suggested not to “rip-off the authenticity” of her business. “If it makes you unique, KEEP IT” he advised. John didn’t make a deal with FFTB but Lori Greiner did — she invested $250,000 for 50 percent equity.

This entrepreneur would be smart NOT to rip-off the authenticity of her business. If it makes you unique, KEEP IT. #SharkTank #FFTOB
