If Vanessa Ferguson on Team Alicia doesn’t win Season 12 of The Voice, something is wrong with the world. The singer from Brooklyn, New York has been wowing America ever since she sang The Chainsmokers song “Don’t Let Me Down.” And she continues to outdo herself with stellar renditions of the Gladys Knight song “If I Were Your Woman” and the Donny Hathaway song “A Song For You.” (She absolutely crushed the Hathaway, which she’d been “running from for years” since the standard was so high, she said.)

For her Top 11 performance, Vanessa will sing the Rihanna song “Diamonds” which was written by Sia. The song includes the line “I knew that we’d become one right away,” which Vanessa will no doubt connect to as she is engaged to be married to rapper Mr. Rozzi (pronounced Rah-zee) who’s recognized for his high pitched voice.
