Shannon Zappala and Regan Kelaher are the entrepreneurs from San Marcos, California behind Goverre, a line of cute, no-spill, portable and stemless wine glasses. They’re pitching their business on Shark Tank (April 21). Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary, who considers himself a wine connoisseur, tells them, “You’re not playing in the big leagues yet…where I play.” He goes on to inform the women that he is “the #1 seller of wine on QVC.” Queen of QVC Lori Greiner who’s sitting right next to him doesn’t deny it. O’Leary sells $10 million a year on QVC!
The value that O’Leary could bring to Goverre is, according to him, “so huge, no matter what any other shark offers you, it will pale in comparison.” O’Leary also has the wedding network of companies in his portfolio which would be a nice fit for Goverre. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
