In the Superstore episode ‘Integrity Award’, while Glenn (Mark McKinney) does his best to win the Cloud 9 Integrity Award, Jonah (Ben Feldman) and Amy (America Ferrera) visit her parents. They help her mother Connie and father Ron (Tony Plana) move out of Amy’s childhood home.
Amy’s mother Connie is portrayed by Marlene Forte, the actress who played Mrs. Glass in the 2002 film Real Women Have Curves starring Ferrera. Forte is also known for her roles on APB (Mita), The Fosters with Tony Plana (Elena), Fear the Walking Dead (Celia Flores), Dallas (Carmen Ramos), The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Kathy’s grandmother), House of Payne (Rosie), and Crossing Jordan (Gloria), among many others. Superstore airs Thursdays at 8pm on NBC.
