Braxton Family Values is back for the second half of Season 5. In the premiere episode ‘Tabloids, Rumors, & Repercussions’, while seven-time Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton gets grilled about her relationship with Birdman, sister Tamar faces tabloid rumors about her marriage. But nothing is more scandalous than the affair their father had for nine years. In a sneak peek video, Tamar says her pastor father Michael “had another woman for nine years.” Towanda says, “My father married just 30 days after my parents’ divorce.” That was in 2000 but the family is still hurting. Toni says, “When he got his new wife, he forgot about us.”
In Season 6, when Tamar plans a family trip to Mexico, Toni warns Tamar that “Daddy’s going to want to bring his wife.” Although Tamar says she’s not invited, Papa Braxton brings her anyway and it doesn’t go well. Braxton Family Values airs Thursdays at 9pm on WEtv.
