In the Chicago P.D. episode ‘Don’t Bury This Case’, while the team investigates a deadly crash involving Chicago Fire’s Kelly Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) car, Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) considers meeting her estranged father Jimmy who was released from prison. It was Lindsay’s mother Bunny (Markie Post) who told Lindsay that her father wanted to meet her. When they do meet, Jimmy says he wants to be a part of his daughter’s life. If only it was that easy.
Jimmy is portrayed by J. Anthony “Tony” Crane. He’s appeared on many shows including Elementary, Ugly Betty, Judging Amy, and Roseanne, but is best recognized for his role on The Big Easy as NOLA Detective Remy McSwain with Barry Corbin. The series was based on the 1987 movie starring Dennis Quaid. Fun fact: In 2010, Crane took over the role of Scar in the North American tour of Disney’s The Lion King. More recently he played Cyrano on stage (see below). Chicago P.D. airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC.
