In the Kevin Can Wait episode ‘Kevin vs. the Dutch Elm’, Kevin (Kevin James) and his wife Donna (Erinn Hayes) want to get rid of their neighbor’s pesky Dutch Elm tree. When Kevin goes next door to try to convince his elderly neighbor to cut down the tree, he gets intimidated by her son, Rutger. In his haste, Kevin ends up inviting them to his house for a party which hasn’t been planned.

Rutger is portrayed by retired MMA fighter and UFC heavyweight champion Bas Rutten. He now co-hosts the weekly podcast Rutten & Ranallo with Mauro Ranallo. Kevin Can Wait airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS.
