Ben Kusin of Dallas, Texas is the entrepreneur behind Reviver, wipes — or swipes, as they call them — designed to remove unwanted odors from clothing (sweat, food, smoke, pets, etc.). Kusin was able to get the first round of funding for Reviver from his father, Gary Kusin, founder of GameStop and former CEO of FedEx Office. He and his brother Eric pitched Reviver on Shark Tank in 2014. Even though Barbara Corcoran called them “rich kids” who weren’t as hungry because it wasn’t a “sink or swim” situation, the Kusin brothers negotiated a deal with Queen of QVC Lori Greiner for $150,000 for 15 percent equity.
