Some fans of Little Women star Terra Jole wonder where she gets the energy to compete on Dancing with the Stars, Season 23. She joined the cast just weeks after of having her second child Grayson. Jole will be the first to tell you, she gets a lot of energy from eating her own placenta. In the video below, she interviews Valerie Rosas, a placenta encapsulation specialist with The Feel Good Company who “had the privilege and honor of encapsulating Terra’s placenta” after the birth of Grayson.
Valerie Rosas says there are a number of benefits to consuming placenta including: an energy boost, mood and hormone stabilization, and it’s good for lactation (building up a good milk supply). Terra asked Valerie if her placenta was different from others because she’s a little person. Valerie said, “Nope, your placenta was just as beautiful as any other placenta I’ve worked with.” Valerie also shows the umbilical cord that she dehydrated and shaped like a heart “for a keepsake.” Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC, and Little Women LA airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Lifetime.
