College student Trevor Hiltbrand is the inventor of Cerebral Success, a brain-health supplement to help enhance focus and memory. In 2014, Hiltbrand pitched his business – he had been selling the brain pills via his website and Amazon – on Shark Tank. One major point of contention among many of the Sharks was that Hiltbrand did not have proof that the pills work. Barbara Corcoran saw past that obstacle and invested $75,000 in Hiltbrand and his SmartX pills in exchange for 40 percent equity.

Since Shark Tank, Corcoran has helped Cerebral Success get onto the shelves of GNC stores nationwide. And the company has released a study to show the effectiveness of the over-the-counter supplement. The study revealed that “SmartX increases processing speed by 12 percent, memory recall by 13 percent and alpha brain waves (associated with focus) by 55 percent after seven days.” Cerebral Success is also available on Amazon (See link/picture above). One bottle of 60 capsules costs $65 ($1.08 per pill).
