Amanda Lewis was 17 when she had her first child, a son named Alex. When he was 16 months old he stopped breathing while taking a nap. The autopsy concluded he died of a seizure disorder. But when Lewis’ second child, 7-year-old Adrianna, was pronounced dead after drowning in a 4-foot deep above-ground pool, an investigation ensued. Her third child AJ, then 5 years old, told police he saw his mother “dunking” Adrianna in the pool as a form of punishment for being bad. AJ testified in front of his mother at her trial. Although the little boy contradicted himself a number of times while on the stand, Lewis was found guilty of first-degree murder and is serving a life sentence in jail.
Lewis will be featured on the docu-series Killer Women with Piers Morgan who says, “So now she [Lewis] has lost three children in different ways.” Killer Women which airs Fridays at 8pm on TLC.
