The 6-second Vine video below seems like a pretty good metaphor for what happened in Games 1 and 2. But it’s really just TannerVids having Vine fun with King James and his current nemesis — in this case the “pitcher” Steph Curry. If this were a really apt metaphor, the whole Golden State Warriors team would be hurling the rock at James, because that’s the way it must feel for the Cavaliers star so far in this NBA Finals.
Another pretty good metaphor would involve showing who really unleashed the ball that knocks James in the face in this video. Because it’s most likely one of James’s Cavaliers teammates — and the way they’re playing so far, James probably feels like he’s being hit at least as often by friendly fire as anything Draymond Green or the Splash Brothers are tossing at him. James isn’t bothered by much though — he keeps coming at you. You don’t go to six straight Finals by going down after a little blow to the head. But it does remind some sports fans of that line Mike Tyson used to use: “Everybody’s got a plan. Until they get punched in the face.”
