On Hotel Hell, celeb chef Gordon Ramsay travels to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia to inspect The Town’s Inn. The Inn includes two historical residences – the Heritage House and the Mountain House, both which were built around 1840. The town of Harpers Ferry is still recovering from a 2015 fire that destroyed eight businesses in three buildings across the street from The Town’s Inn.
On top of that unfortunate event, which has affected business in downtown Harpers Ferry, Karan Townsend, the owner of The Town’s Inn, has a hoarding problem. Not only does Townsend hold a Ph.D. in education, she pretty much holds onto everything else that comes her way too. And she displays all her belongings in the Inn, which Ramsay compares to a second-hand shop. The only thing Townsend hasn’t keep is a television set. She says she hasn’t owned one since 1993. Hotel Hell airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
