In the Castle episode “Much Ado About Murder,” a famous movie star named Zane Cannon was trying to make it on Broadway (doing Shakespeare) but was killed on stage before opening night. His high-profile death brings Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Becket (Stana Katic) behind stage to find out what Zane was worried about other than his lines. There they meet the director of the Shakespearian drama.
Director Erin Cherloff is portrayed by Jewel Staite. The Canadian-born actress is known for her roles on Legends of Tomorrow (Dr. Bryce), The Killing (Caroline Swift), Animism (Mel Ravensfall), State of Syn (Annia Drake), Stargate: Atlantis (Dr. Jennifer Keller), and Firefly (Kaylee Frye, with Nathan Fillion!), among others. Castle airs Mondays at 10pm on ABC.
