In the new AMC series Preacher, preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) deals with a lot of guilt from his dubious violent past. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about his parish. When not kicking ass with his ex-girlfriend Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and his religious-skeptic friend Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the preacher tends to those sitting in the pews including Eugene “Arseface” Root.
[‘Preacher’ is based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon]
Eugene “Arseface” Root is portrayed by Ian Colletti. The talented young actor is known for his role on Rake (as Finn, Greg Kinnear’s son who has an affair with his high school English teacher). Colletti is also recognized for his roles in the films Jimmy (Jimmy Mitchell), An Invisible Sign with Jessica Alba, and Baby Mama (Maura Tierney’s 7-year-old). Fun fact: Colletti’s big break in the business was in 2004 when he appeared on Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues as one of Joe’s friends who sends him a letter. Preacher premieres on Sunday, May 22 at 10pm on AMC.
