On Modern Family (February 18, 9pm, CBS), Gloria wants Jay to teach her son Manny how to stand up to a bully in his cooking class. The bully turns out to be a girl. Malyssa Martinez is the 17-year-old actress who plays the bully. She’s intimidating, despite being 5’1″.
Martinez has been acting since she was 6. She is a three-time performing arts scholarship recipient through the Lyric Theater Foundation, Gibson Girl Foundation and Dizzy Feet Foundation – all of which helped her become a triple threat. Besides acting, she can also sing and dance. Martinez was the lead singer in the rock band Like Our Last but the band broke up in 2013 “due to creative differences never finishing their EP.” Careful, Manny.
