The Raptors lost 116-78 in Game 5 after winning two straight against the Cavaliers in Toronto. The game was so different than any the Raptors had played all year that shocked star guard Kyle Lowry made some very expressive faces (see below) when he was shown the box score in the press conference afterwards.
Lowry couldn’t very well deny that that Raptors had taken a beating, and all the tension had gone out of the game by the end of the first half, so he wasn’t stepping to the table fresh off a close one. Still Lowry’s post-game poise and straight up acknowledgment won him praise. Lowry wasn’t petty and didn’t mope, refusing to engage the stat sheet. He did the opposite. As one reader wrote on Facebook: “Not a Raptors nor a Cavaliers fan, I am, however a Classy players fan and Kyle Lowry falls into that catagory.”
