In the TV movie Dying to Be Loved, gullible teenager Emily gets involved with a creepy kid named Gary (Jedidiah Goodacre). His violent behavior lands both kids in trouble. In order to avoid prison, the young couple stages a double suicide — they allegedly chain cinderblocks to their bodies before jumping off a bridge — which everyone but Emily’s mother Jill Yates (Lindsay Hartley) believes.
Emily is portrayed by Paloma Kwiatkowski. The 21-year-old Canadian actress is known for her roles on Bates Motel (Cody Brennan) and in the TV movie Wuthering High School (Cathy Earnshaw) with James Caan, who plays her father in the modern version of the Emily Bronte novel, set in Malibu. Dying to Be Loved will premiere on April 16 at 8pm on Lifetime. It will air again on April 17 at 12am.
