Retweets are going to be huge on The Voice — because a retweet counts as a vote for an Instant Save. That means during the five minute sudden death voting to save one of the bottom two artists near the end of the April 19 broadcast, one timely tweet from a giant celeb could easily hand victory to either performer. Based on the iTunes rankings after the April 18 show, Paxton Ingram of Team Blake enters the Tuesday show on the bottom. The bottom two artists will perform one more time each near the end of the show to try to convince America that they deserve to stay. The Instant Save voting happens fast.
Consider this scenario: If Paxton is one of the two artists who needs saving when the time comes, his idol Lady Gaga could do him a solid and tweet #VoiceSavePaxton to her 58.4 million followers. That one move would likely start a barrage of easy retweets that would save Paxton from going home. Unless of course Taylor Swift tweets a vote for the other artist to her 75 million followers. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
