Entrepreneur Will Warne is from Bend, Oregon, an area well known for running and its picturesque running trails. Warne enjoys running and spending time with his family so he’s invented a product to bring the two together – KidRunner. What makes his product different from most other popular jogging strollers is that KidRunner trails the runner — so it doesn’t require pushing like the more common running strollers. KidRunner is lightweight (20 lbs.) and all-terrain, too. The patented waist harness also allows the runner/parent to turn around easily to see and interact with the child. Warne will pitch KidRunner on Shark Tank.

KidRunner has a number things going for it including its patent(s) and a strong network of ambassadors, avid runners, who love the product. The big question is how to build the business – do you focus on selling the products in elite running shops or break into the big box shops and try to appeal to the 5K masses. KidRunner is also considering producing similar products with Nordic ski and bike options. To learn more, join the KidRunner email list. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
