David Toledo and Caleb Light of Salt Lake City, Utah are the two outdoorsy inventors behind Powerpot, a portable thermoelectric generator that can boil water and charge your phone at the same time, among other things. After selling $300,000 worth of Powerpots, Toledo and Light pitched their business on Shark Tank in 2014. They made a deal with Shark investor Mark Cuban ($250,000 for 12 percent equity and 3 percent in advisory options).
