The owners of Macaron by Patisse, brother and sister Sukaina and Mohammed, funded their French boutique bakery company with their parent’s retirement funds ($400,000) three years ago. Now business is so good at the Houston boutique – they won the title of “Houston’s Best Macaron” – they’re looking to expand the business beyond the store and two kiosks. So they asked for a meeting with Billion Dollar Buyer Tilman Fertitta who owns more than 500 restaurants and casinos across the country. “Getting an order from Tilman would mean the world to us,” says Mohammed.
Macaron by Patisse sells a $50 gift box (that’s 24 macarons) on its website. You can choose from 20 flavors including Saffron Orange Blossom, Cappuccino Dark Chocolate, and Blueberry Vanilla Bean. Billion Dollar Buyer airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
