Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue gave Houston’s The End Zone Sports Bar & Grill a makeover and it became Houston Sports Hub. But soon after Taffer left, co-owner Shawn Machado and his wife Stephanie left. He said he didn’t like the new contract so he opened his own bar (The Corridor) less than a mile away from Houston Sports Hub — which Justin Whitfield still runs with his wife. Two years later, Taffer is returning to Houston to try to moderate an on-going dispute between the two rivals. According to Yelp, The Corridor has closed.
Fun fact about Justin: Before becoming a bar owner, he was a full-time male entertainer at Labare ladies’ club in Texas. He also worked as a Romance Cover model for Ellora’s Cave (sometimes with his wife). Justin has written a couple of books about stripping including Take It Off! The Naked Truth About Male Strippers. Bar Rescue airs Sundays at 9pm on Spike.
