On Survivor: Kaoh Rong — Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty, Debbie Wanner is a member of the Brains tribe. The 49-year-old chemist from Reading, Pennsylvania is also a captain in the US Air Force Auxiliary — the civil air patrol. Her family is largely military, mostly Marines. She describes her job as a bomb neutralizer with glee: “I don’t have to kill anyone, and no one is shooting at me, and I’m surrounded by awesome airplanes.”
Wanner says this is the right time for her to be on Survivor because of her wealth of life experiences. “I’ve been burned, I’ve burned people. I’ve blindsided and been blindsided.” She even goes as far as to say: “Everything I need to know, I think I now possess.” It’s good to be confident on Survivor but too much confidence — as in real life — can be troublesome.
