Netflix posted a mysterious message about Parks and Recreation, the beloved comedy whose very enthusiastic fans are still mourning the NBC show’s end last year. “So official. Like, government official. #ParksAndRec“, Netflix wrote. A lot of fans thought that meant the almighty Netflix was going to resurrect the show — put in back into production — so they could get their Poehler and Pratt thing on again. Netflix has done it before, a la Arrested Development.
But it turns out Netflix didn’t mean to get those hopes up. The post does deliver good news, just not OMG-this-is-awesome news. What’s official about Netflix and Parks and Recreation is that Season 7 is available. The mysterious message was about the ending, not a new beginning.
