Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason has had a successful career transition into sports broadcasting. After his 14-year career in the NFL, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals, Boomer can be found on CBS Sports’ The NFL Today and Showtime’s Inside the NFL, among other sports shows. Now, just days before Super Bowl 50, he will co-host the TV special Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2016 with CBS star Katharine McPhee (Scorpion).

Esiason had an impressive record in the league and knows a lot about the Super Bowl, but he never won a Super Bowl ring. During the 1988 season, Esiason had the best season of his career en route to Super Bowl XXIII. He led the Cincinnati Bengals to their second appearance in the Super Bowl (they’d gone without him in 1981), but the Bengals again lost a close game to the San Francisco 49ers (20-16). Now Esiason is talking about funny commercials in Levi’s Stadium, home of those same San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2016 will air February 2 at 8pm on CBS.
