Colby Wright is the young car dealership salesman from Georgia competing on Season 17 of The Biggest Loser. He’s shared his personal story on the show including his father’s suicide (when Colby was 22), and the death of his brother in a car accident. Colby says those tragedies contributed to his weight gain. Colby used to be a cowboy, but he had to quit due to his size. At 339 lbs., instead of riding and roping, he became an announcer at rodeos.
Colby is one of the five finalists who’ve made it to the end on The Biggest Loser. The winner will be announced on the grand finale episode which will air on February 22 at 9pm on NBC. Before losing more than 100 pounds on the show, Colby said once he lost the weight, he looked forward to being able to rodeo again.
