Steph Curry‘s recent trip to Charlotte to meet (and beat) the Hornets was a special occasion. Steph’s father Dell Curry is the Hornets all-time leading scorer — and the Hornets honored Dell the night of the game, a special moment for the Curry clan. Steph lit up the Hornets that night for 40 to keep his Warriors undefeated at 20-0. But the Warriors finally dropped a game last weekend, making them to a mere 24-1.
Fortunately for Curry, he’s still got an undefeated team in the running this season: thanks to Dad’s career, Steph is a big Carolina Panthers fan. So even with the Warriors’ fantasy of going 34-0 to top the NBA record dashed, Curry’s still got his Panthers. Quarterback Cam Newton and company just moved to 13-0 this season, on the strength of a 38-0 win over Atlanta.
