Following a rocky start after an undefeated preseason, the Charlotte Hornets have won 7 of their last 10, including last night’s 104-84 blowout of the Detroit Pistons that saw five Hornets in double figures. The Hornets move to 12-8 on the season, giving them more wins than the Chicago Bulls (11-7). With center Al Jefferson out, the Hornets move the ball crisply, tallying 21 assists. Guard Jeremy Lin found his shooting touch returning — Lin shot 50% from the field going 5-of-10.
Lin didn’t start the game, but played more minutes (26:14) than all but four other Hornets, including Kemba Walker (24:53). Nicolas Batum, despite a poor shooting night, played well for Charlotte notching seven assists. Lin had four assists and finished with 13 points. Cody Zeller led the Hornets with 20 points, going 10-of-13 from the free throw line.
