On the season finale of Couples Therapy, Carmen Carrera and her longtime partner Adrian Torres are getting married. VH1 says it will be the first televised transgender wedding in American history. The day of the wedding, everyone pitches in to make it a special event. Big Ang and her husband Neil make the food. Scott Stapp’s wife Jacyln tries to organize the day, “I was kind of assigned wedding planner,” she tells the camera, holding a yellow legal pad. But when she can’t find the bride to discuss the schedule, Jacyln says, “Janice stole her.” She was right.

In a closed room, Janice tells Carmen, “Your mother’s not going to be here, so I have to be the mother of the bride.” Carmen is okay with that, and agrees with Janice that she should take a nap before the house gets really loud and busy. But then Jacyln finds them and walks in with that yellow legal pad. She explains a nap isn’t o nthe schedule until later. But the mother-of-the-bride insists. Couples Therapy airs Wednesdays at 10pm on VH1.
