On the Season 2 premiere of Jane the Virgin, the protagonist Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) finds out about Mateo’s kidnapping and Sin Rostro’s ransom. Meanwhile, Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) feels left out when Jane seeks parenting advice from Xiomara (Andrea Navedo). And then there’s Rafael’s villainous, childless ex-wife Petra Solano who isn’t sure what to do with Rafael’s last sperm sample.
Petra is portrayed by Yael Grobglas. Although she was born in Paris to a French father and Austrian mother, Grobglas considers herself an Israeli actress. Her family settled in Raanana when she was 3-years-old. Americans will recognize her as Olivia D’Amencourt from The CW series Reign. Jane the Virgin airs Mondays at 9pm on The CW.
