On the Nashville episode “The Slender Threads That Blind Us Here”, Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) has another setback that pushes her toward pills and alcohol. When the tabloids run a photo of her assistant Emily playing in a park with her husband Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and their baby daughter Cadence, Juliette goes ballistic. She calls Emily – who’s holding Cadence in her arms when she picks up the phone – and calls Emily a “backstabbing whore.” Ouch.
Emily is portrayed by Kourtney Hansen. The actress has real music roots in Nashville. Prior to Nashville, Hansen was a TV correspondent for CMT Insider. She’s appeared in Keith Urban’s video “Sweet Thing” and Luke Bryan’s video “Do I“. When not on the set of Nashville, Hansen can be seen dancing at the Nashville Predators in-arena football games. She’s the captain of the dance team! And she’s married to country music singer/songwriter Jeremy McComb. She appeared in his video too, “This Town Needs a Bar” (see below). Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC.
