On Arrow, The Green Arrow and Speedy are out to protect Jessica Danforth. She’s an old Queen family friend who’s decided to run for mayor of Star City. Danforth is described as having political ambitions which will “place her in the crosshairs of a menacing antagonist.” That shouldn’t be surprising news for Arrow fans as the past three city mayors have been assassinated while in office.
Danforth is portrayed by Jeri Ryan. She’s best known for her role as Borg, Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager. She also has had recurring roles on Body of Proof (Kate Murphy), Leverage (Tara Cole), Two and a Half Men (Sherri), The O.C. (Charlotte Morgan), and Boston Public (Ronnie Cooke), among others. Prior to acting, Ryan was named Miss Illinois in 1989, and competed in the 1990 Miss America pageant. She finished as a third runner-up. Ryan graduated that year from Northwestern. Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CW.
