On Modern Family, after Haley Dunphy (Sarah Hyland) loses out on Andy (Adam DeVine) she gets back with her old high school boyfriend Dylan. (His hair is shorter now.) And Haley’s convincing her mother Claire (Julie Bowen) to let Dylan stay with them — on a temporary basis. Haley’s father Phil (Ty Burrell) was all for it at first. Phil even helped Haley convince his wife it was a good idea. But Phil has second thoughts when he’s forced to live with Dylan.
Dylan is portrayed by Reid Ewing. He’s also known for his roles as Devin in the TV mini-series The Power Inside with Harvey Keitel, as Charlie Plunk in Zeke and Luther, and as Derek in Good Luck Charlie. Ewing just completed the rom-com film Temps with The Middle’s Eden Sher (Sue Heck). Surprise, surprise, Ewing plays a slacker in the film. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC.
