Want to be graceful and enthusiastic, but also blunt and honest? Perky and professional, but all about the passion? Like, say, Julianne Hough? Or Hallmark? No celebrity quite embodies all those qualities right now like the compelling Hough, the professional dancer and actress who owns the middle judging chair on Dancing With The Stars. Celebrities these days must expand their brands — and Hough’s partnership with Hallmark seems an inspired choice for both. (Like ballerina Misty Copeland and Under Armour.) Like Hallmark, Hough is expressive — both with her words and her art. (Before judging, she was a popular dancer on DWTS, too.)
Hallmark hired Hough to host an event at New York Fashion Week in September. It was a pop-up shop, open just three days. But there is speculation that Hough and Hallmark (a nice, marketing-friendly alliteration) will team up again for a Julianne Hough signature line of cards under the Hallmark Signature banner. “The Signature cards are a perfect way to express your love to friends and family with extra flair,” Hough says. Hallmark branding director Amy Merchant returned the compliment: “As a celebrity known for her fabulous personal style, we’re thrilled to have Julianne help us celebrate what Signature style is all about.”
