YouTube star Michelle Phan is the founder of Ipsy, the personalized mail order company that sends “glam bags” of beauty products every month to subscribers. It’s a $10-a-month service. In the first three years, she gained 700,000 subscribers. In the last six months, she’s gained 300,000 more. In April 2015, Ipsy hit the 1 million mark of subscribers.

Since developing her massive audience on YouTube, where she continues to upload her beauty tip videos, Phan has also launched a L’Oreal makeup line and has written a book. The highly successful young entrepreneur will be a guest speaker on VC Tim Draper’s new TV reality show, Startup U, which airs Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC Family.
