On American Ninja Warrior, competitors vie for the chance to win $1 million…and of course the title of American Ninja Warrior. One of the hosts is Kristine Leahy. As a sideline reporter for CBS Sports, Leahy has covered everything from the Super Bowl to the World Series to the Stanley Cup Finals. She even became the first woman to ever call a horse race in California!
Where does her passion for sports come from? Leahy grew up in Chicago during the height of Michael Jordan’s basketball career. She went on to study journalism at Boston University and landed her first host job for New England Sports Radio Station WEEI. And then she got to be the in-house team reporter for the Boston Celtics. She’s bringing everything she learned from the NCAA, NBA, and NFL to the ANW (that’s American Ninja Warrior), which airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC.
